Sanico is a leading wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. Our goal is simple-- find solutions for our customers. We are looking for a driving "pro" to join our growing Sanico team as a non-CDL Truck Driver . The position is based out of Sanico’s branch location in Syracuse.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sanico truck drivers play an essential role in our distribution chain. They are the final customer touchpoint in the order cycle. They make sure the right box gets to the right customer at the right time, and do it in a courteous, professional manner. Professional delivery service is central to Sanico’s business model of ADDING VALUE and SAVING TIME for our customers.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the driver will deliver orders to Sanico customers on a daily basis. They will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure quality and accuracy during the truck loading process. In adherence to company best practices, the driver is to be involved in the loading of their truck.

Hard skills/Job qualifications:

• DOT Medical card REQUIRED
• Active, CLEAN driver’s license REQUIRED
• Straight truck driving experience REQUIRED
• Able to utilize a smart-phone app used to collect customer signature at delivery.
• Physical job requirements include:
  • independent manual lifting of freight up to 60 lbs.
  • pedaling, frequent climbing in/out of the delivery truck
  • able to maneuver loads up and down stairs, ramps at delivery locations (few local customer delivery sites have loading docks)
  • exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates

Job Type: Mon-Fri, FULL-TIME, benefit-eligible
Hours: 0700-1530 (hours may vary based on number of stops along routes, weather, etc.)
Wage Range: $17.50-$21/hour
