Mid-Level Corporate Associate - New York, NY

Fox Rothschild has an opening in the New York, NY office for a Mid-Level Corporate Associate to join our dynamic national team and handle a broad range of corporate, commercial, and transactional matters. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated transactions for domestic and international companies, private equity funds, corporate strategic investors and entrepreneurs, as well as skills development and marketing development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have completed at least three to six years of experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm, will have interest in supporting senior attorneys, and desire and aptitude to work closely with founders and CEOs, while developing a practice. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Superior academic record and excellent writing skills required.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and capital markets/corporate finance, corporate governance, private equity and venture capital financings, complex M&A and securities law compliance, corporate formations, and corporate governance matters .
• Guided companies through successful financing rounds, and complex corporate M&A and commercial transactions.
• Independently manages significant portions of transactions, including demonstrated ability to manage deal teams of other associates and subject matter experts.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary range for this position applies to New York. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $235,000 - $275,000 in New York.
