Senior Tax Manager - Estate and Trusts
A Kforce client, a premier, well respected New York City based CPA firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager - Estate and Trusts. Summary: You will work with outstanding clients in all aspects of tax compliance and planning as it relates to estates and trusts. This position is highly visibility to Partners and Clients. The firm offers very competitive compensation and unlimited advancement potential. You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepares by tax staff and/or seniors
- Researching/drafting memorandum on complex tax matters
- Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
- Handling and resolving tax controversies
- Overseeing complete tax research projects for a variety of clients
- Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams
- Conducting discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
- Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation
- 7+ years of recent experience working in the tax department of public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management
