Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Assistant will work under the direction of the IT Procurement Functional Business Analyst Lead. The scope of responsibility is participating in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) project design sessions and core team meetings. Become familiar with the CLM workflows and business processes to assist in developing and managing the training curriculum and materials. Work closely with the Lead Functional BA to develop testing plans and scenarios and facilitate the solution validation testing and User Acceptance testing.
NOTE: The timeframe for this role is June 3 rd - August 9 th, 2024
GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position is being offered as one of a number of positions being coordinated under the umbrella of the University IT Internship Program in the summer of 2022. As a result, while the emphasis will be on individual experiences based on a position description provided, the group will be organized as a starting cohort and meet approximately every two weeks. The emphasis of this cohort experience will be to expose all participants to multiple facets of the Information Technology environment at the University of Rochester. These sessions will combine presentation by IT professionals and group discussion to broaden the learning experience. All students will also be asked to prepare a poster session at the end of the program. This will provide program participants an opportunity to link classroom learning to the practicum, as well as formalize thoughts and service recommendations to the IT organization.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under the guidance of the department UR Procurement and administration teams to assist with and/or actively lead activities pertaining to the assigned project.
- Learn and utilize Workday business processes and UIT documentation tools.
- Track lessons learned throughout assignment for presentation to UIT leadership team.
- Learn and demonstrate use of Microsoft Office toolset, SharePoint, and other project office collaboration tools.
- Work closely with manager, establishing a goal plan with objectives to be completed by conclusion of assignment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Matriculated in an undergraduate studies program in IT, business administration, healthcare administration, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of work experience is preferred.
- or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience required.
- No professional work experience is required.
- Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new technology.
- Ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Solution oriented with a positive attitude.
- Strong ability to prioritize. Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to establish trust with your team.
- No professional certification required. Must be able to travel to designated sites as assigned.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $16.50 - $21.45 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined byconsidering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
