Line Cook
Mango Bay is seeking an experienced, dependable, and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in producing high-quality dishes, and works well as part of a team. This position requires consistency, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen cleanliness.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items according to Mango Bay recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock assigned stations before service.
- Ensure all food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Properly label, date, and store food items.
- Monitor food quality and notify management of any inventory shortages.
- Assist with prep work and kitchen closing duties.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor during busy service periods.
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
