Product Manager - Furniture
from concept to market, ensuring its commercial success while aligning the product
strategy with overall business goals. The role requires a strong focus on partnerships,
product development, market execution, and maintaining the balance between
creativity and commercial viability. This role will work closely with Merchandising, Design, Operations and Sales Directors of the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Execute Product Strategy: Own and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals. Oversee product ideation, Bill of Materials (BOM), and manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality, market-ready products.
- Partner & Market Coordination: Collaborate with licensed partners (e.g., Sedilia, Alex Lithgow, Holland & Sherry) to ensure clear communication, strong relationships, and successful product execution.
- Product Launch & Profitability: Plan, execute, and oversee product launches, aligning with key market periods (January & September). Ensure profitability by maintaining strong gross profit (GP) margins and optimizing financial performance.
- Market Analysis & Business Insights: Conduct quarterly product performance reviews, analyze market trends, and monitor competitor strategies. Provide stakeholders with valuable insights to inform business decisions and refine product positioning.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management: Manage material integration (fabric, leather, embroidery) to maintain aesthetic and quality standards. Maintain product documentation, pricing, and marketing collateral. Hold weekly meetings to review lead times, open orders, and resolve production challenges.
- Drive sales and training through strategic travel to our twelve domestic Holland & Sherry Showrooms to present and educate clients on our capabilities and enrich the expertise of our sales staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in product management, furniture design, or a related industry.
- Experience working with luxury or high-end furniture brands and understanding of market trends.
- Product Development & Manufacturing : Knowledge of furniture design, materials, BOM, and production processes.
- Project Management : Ability to oversee product roadmaps, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution from concept to launch.
- Communication & Collaboration : Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including designers, manufacturers, marketing, and sales teams.
- Detail-Oriented & Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain product documentation, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Technical Proficiency : Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software , Excel, and design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp) is a plus.
