Freelance Medical Director, Opthomology

- Provide senior scientific guidance for a DME-focused disease narrative
- Advise on the clinical landscape and patient unmet needs in Diabetic Macular Edema
- Contribute expertise on:
- DME pathophysiology and disease progression
- Blood-retinal barrier breakdown and mechanisms of vision loss
- Dysregulated signaling pathways
- Inform scientific positioning within the current treatment landscape
- Review and validate scientific accuracy of materials and frameworks
- Collaborate with scientific and strategy teams to shape educational content
- Medical Director, Senior Medical Affairs, or equivalent senior scientific leadership experience
- Deep expertise in ophthalmology, with a strong focus on retinal diseases
- Demonstrated experience in Diabetic Macular Edema (DME)
- Experience advising on scientific or medical narratives, publications, or disease education materials
