Location: Rochester, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4×10 schedule)

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Pay Rate: $40 – $47 per hour (Based on experience)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment at a high-volume acute care facility in Rochester, NY. This opportunity offers a consistent 4×10 day shift schedule within a fast-paced, multi-specialty surgical environment. Ideal for travelers looking for stability, variety, and professional growth.

Traveler Requirement: This position is open to travel candidates only. Permanent residence must be more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY .

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Support

• Provide expert scrub support for a wide range of surgical procedures, including elective, emergency, adult, and pediatric cases.

• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments accurately and efficiently during procedures.

Sterile Field Management

• Prepare, organize, and maintain a sterile field in compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.

• Perform and adhere to surgical counts to ensure patient safety.

Operating Room Operations

• Assist with rapid room turnover across multiple active operating rooms.

• Ensure surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are cleaned, tested, and prepared for subsequent cases.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff to ensure seamless surgical workflow.

• Maintain professional communication and teamwork in a high-acuity environment.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all surgical safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and hospital policies to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in a high-volume operating room setting required.

• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
  Exception: Candidates who practiced as a Surgical Tech in New York State prior to 2015 may be considered without CST certification.

• Life Support: Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Availability: Willingness to participate in required weekly and monthly on-call rotations.
