Release Operations Manager

As a Release Operations Manager , you will be crucial in optimizing our release schedule for success across all platforms. This involves setting quarterly release structures and coordinating new music across our catalog within your assigned territory/segment, ensuring timely releases align with team and company goals. You will develop the blueprint for efficient release planning and tracking, managing daily new music releases to meet customer needs. Your significant impact will come from overseeing overall release output, implementing policies for sound intake, packaging, and release workflows. You will also partner with key stakeholders such as A&R, CM, Design, and DSPP to ensure blueprint timelines are met.
This role will be based in New York City (4 days per week in-office).Job Summary:
- Own the continuous development of the blueprint for release planning in one of multiple markets, allowing for efficient and clear release planning and tracking.
- Coordinate and manage the overall releases of new music daily across our whole catalog to ensure our customer needs are met.
- Responsible for meeting the overall release cadence, keeping an holistic view of release output.
- Own and implement policies and standard operating procedures for sound intake, packaging, and release workflows.
- Ensure blueprint timelines and commitments are met by partnering with key stakeholders (A&R, CM, Design, DSPP) across our release operations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with release and catalog management within the music industry.
- Deep understanding of metadata, packaging, and scheduling of releases.
- Experience from music distribution - processes, admin tasks etc..
- Proven ability to manage complex operations, including coordination of release schedules, resource allocation, and adherence to timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with artists, producers, and cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail in managing various aspects of music releases, including contractual agreements, licensing, and legal requirements.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding key performance indicators.
Compensation
This is a full-time, hybrid position, based in New York City. This position has a base compensation span of $98,000 - $120,000 yearly dependent upon experience.
Benefits include dental, health, medical, and vision plan options, 30 days vacation a year accrual, 6 months parental leave, 401k saving, and wellness benefits.
