Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Ballston Spa, NY

Schultz Construction is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our growing operations. We’re a leader in heavy civil construction — delivering infrastructure, utilities, and sitework projects across Upstate NY & Massachusetts.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance, welding, and fabrication work
- Complete digital service reports and time entries accurately
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
- Travel occasionally to field job sites (within 2 hours of Albany)
What You Bring:
- Proven hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- CDL-B license
- Good attitude, safe work habits, and reliability
We Offer:
- Competitive pay: $45–$70/hour depending on experience
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, occasional OT
