Assistant Program Manager

The Arc Dutchess County NY is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Manager to join our team!

The Arc Dutchess County, NY is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Dutchess County, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 84 Patrick Lane Poughkeepsie, NY.

The Assistant Program Manager position is full time and includes an excellent benefits package.

Location: Dutchess County, NY

Assistant Program Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide training, support, role modeling, and feedback for staff for effective implementation of developmental training programs
• Monitor and assist Direct Support Professionals in caring for each individual
• Responsible for administrative and operation elements including record keeping, household planning, agency policies and procedures
• Assist Program Manager with the compliance of all state requirements, as well as, coordination of all activities involved in each individual’s program plan.
• Responsible for training/coaching/mentoring the DSP’s as they provide support and training of individuals with developmental disabilities to be as independent and productive as possible in their daily life and to be integrated into the community, including ongoing engagement with their family.
• They assist the Program Manager in the operation of the site

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of (1) year of OPWDD experience required
• All positions require a valid, clean NYS driver’s license with a minimum of one year driving experience with a Class D license.
• High School/GED required, Associates Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• At least one year working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
• Driver’s License Required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct Support Professional experience and/or certification
