Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date 04/20/2026 for a 13-week contract. Responsibilities
- Scrub for surgical procedures, prepare sterile fields, and assist with instrument passing while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and instrumentation; perform counts and safety checks
- Assist surgeons during procedures, including orthopaedic and robotic DaVinci cases; respond quickly to intraoperative needs
- Prepare and position the patient for surgery; assist with nursing care tasks delegated by the RN as appropriate
- Support departmental operations, including scrubbing, circulating as needed, and helping with instrumentation turnover and room turnover
- Be available for weekend, on-call, and holiday coverage; arrive within 30 minutes of call during assignment

Requirements
- Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT surgical technologist certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience: orthopaedic surgical experience, scrubbing experience, and DaVinci robotic system experience required
- Travel experience required
- Additional: approved pharmacology course or prior medication exposure with successful medications exam
- Availability to arrive within 30 minutes of call; ability to work in a hospital operating room environment
