Catering Sales Lead
Friedman’s Hospitality Group is seeking a results-driven Catering Sales Lead to grow our corporate and business-to-business catering division throughout New York City.
Reporting directly to the Director of Catering and Events, this is a sales-focused role responsible for generating new catering revenue, developing corporate accounts, and building long-term relationships with office managers, executive assistants, facilities teams, HR departments, and event decision-makers. The successful candidate will proactively source new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and drive repeat catering sales across our portfolio of brands, including Friedman’s, Casa Louie, Suram, Jack's All Day, Pastrami Queen, and Kossar’s.
This is not an event planning or event coordination position. We are seeking a sales professional with experience selling catering services, developing corporate accounts, and managing B2B client relationships.
The ideal candidate comes with an existing network of corporate contacts and a proven track record of growing catering revenue through prospecting, relationship-building, and account management.
Future growth opportunities may include supporting private event sales and special events across the portfolio, but the primary focus of this role is corporate catering sales and business development.
Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years of B2B catering sales experience required.
- Existing book of business and corporate client relationships strongly preferred.
- Experience selling office catering, recurring meal programs, executive meetings, conferences, corporate events, and workplace food solutions.
- Proven track record of generating new accounts and growing catering revenue.
- Experience working with platforms such as CaterCow, ezCater, Seamless Corporate, or similar catering channels is a plus
- Hospitality sales experience preferred; event planning experience alone is not sufficient for this role.
- Strong prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and account management skills.
- Generate new catering business through prospecting, outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and relationship development.
- Identify and pursue corporate clients, office managers, executive assistants, event planners, and other key decision-makers.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow catering revenue across all Friedman’s Hospitality Group concepts.
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
- Prospect and develop relationships with office managers, executive assistants, workplace experience managers, HR leaders, facilities managers, and corporate decision-makers.
- Generate recurring catering business through outbound sales efforts, networking, referrals, and account development.
- Convert one-time catering orders into long-term recurring client relationships
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, tastings, and site visits as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients throughout the sales process.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and client service that drives repeat business and referrals.
- Accurately enter and manage catering orders through company systems and platforms.
- Coordinate with restaurant operations teams to ensure successful execution of all catering orders.
- Communicate client needs, delivery requirements, and event details clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Follow up with clients after orders and events to gather feedback and identify future opportunities.
- Represent Friedman’s Hospitality Group at industry events, networking functions, community organizations, and business associations.
- Develop strategic partnerships that increase brand awareness and generate new catering opportunities.
- Act as a visible ambassador for the Friedman’s brand throughout the NYC business community.
- Base Salary: $75,000
- Commission: Competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential
