Seasonal Bridge Maintenance Crewmembers
Bridge Maintenance Crewmembers work as members of a maintenance crew performing
routine tasks that require heavy physical exertion while working on the bridge structure. Crewmembers use hand and power tools and, as qualified, operate power driven equipment. Specific duties include assisting in maintaining bridge structure, bridge deck, guide rails, suspension cables and piers; and assisting with traffic control during bridge maintenance. Job requirements include working knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in bridge structure maintenance, working knowledge of rigging and scaffolding, applicable safety standards and rules/regulations of the Authority. Qualifications must have high school diploma or GED equivalent; be able to obtain a Canadian work visa; be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., kneel, bend, walk or be on your feet for long periods of time; be able to operate various types of machinery; have no fear of heights and be able to climb ladders and high steel structures; be able to work in inclement weather; and have reliable transportation. The Bridge Maintenance Crewmember will work Monday through Friday, 6:45am to 3:30pm. Starting salary: $ 27.00 per hour.
