Mindex’s Software Development division is the go-to software developer for enterprise organizations looking to engage teams of skilled technical resources to help them plan, navigate, and execute through the full software development lifecycle.
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support and scale modern AI-powered platforms, including AI/ML services and Virtual Agent systems.
Essential Functions
This role focuses on building reliable CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance across cloud-native, distributed environments. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product partners to deliver resilient, scalable platforms that power intelligent applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitOps, GCP-native tools, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
- Develop, automate, and maintain infrastructure as code across multi-cloud environments (GCP, Azure; Kubernetes, Cloud Run, AKS, GKE).
- Build, deploy, and operate containerized services, ensuring health, security, scalability, and high availability.
- Integrate tools, platforms, and APIs to streamline operations across AI/ML and virtual agent ecosystems.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using Python, Shell, and Java/Groovy where appropriate.
- Monitor system and application health, implement proactive alerting, and continuously improve reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across cloud services and application stacks.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to optimize release processes and platform reliability.
- Promote DevOps best practices and maintain clear documentation for system architecture, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role in cloud-based environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code, containerization, and orchestration technologies (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid programming and scripting skills in Python and at least one additional language (Shell, Java, or Groovy).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, and scalable system design.
- Experience building and supporting automated deployment, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, MLOps workflows, or conversational / virtual agent systems.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and additional cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to security automation, compliance, or reliability engineering best practices.

The band range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, education, experience, training, certifications, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role; and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range for this role is $90,000-$120,000
