Role and Responsibilities

A Distribution Teammate’s main responsibilities include loading & unloading inbound & outbound material, verifying accuracy of shipping & receiving paperwork, and working in a safe and effective manner.

• Promote a Safety-First culture. Report accident and near miss incidents immediately; Strive to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner. Complete all required and necessary safety checks.
• Maintain the housekeeping activities of the warehouse & other storage areas.
• Perform forklift safety inspections & report all damage or needed repairs immediately.
• Unload incoming shipments.
• Ensure correct placement of product in warehouse.
• Pick, pack & load outbound shipments.
• Ensure all shipping & receiving documentation is complete and accurate.
• Assist Will Call customers & work with Inside Sales Representatives to complete orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor.

Work Environment

• General warehouse conditions, experiencing heat & cold temperature ranges.
• Outdoor in the elements.
• Office / Storeroom environment.
• Routine use of industrial equipment & tools such as overhead cranes, forklifts, carts & other material handling equipment.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to stand up to 90% of the workday; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, talk, or hear.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the job which may include but are not limited to lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; driving a forklift and be able to get on and off the forklift numerous times during a shift.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a license to operate a forklift or at least one (1) year experience operating like equipment, and able to obtain a forklift operator’s license.
• Possess the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail
