Western New York Maritime Charter School is a military-style public charter school focused on academic excellence, leadership development, character, and structure. Qualifications

• Valid New York State Certification (Earth Science 7-12 or equivalent)

• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance

• Strong working knowledge of NYS Science Standards

• Deliver tight, well-structured instruction aligned to NYS standards

• Execute clear routines and procedures daily, no inconsistencies

• Maintain a classroom where:

• Students are on task

• Expectations are visible and enforced

• Disruptions are addressed immediately and professionally

• Use data to drive instruction, not guesswork

• Hold students accountable for:

• Work completion

• Behavior

• Academic progress

• Communicate consistently with families and staff

• Contribute to a schoolwide culture of discipline, respect, and urgency
