Superintendent

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is seeking an experienced Superintendent for the Syracuse, NY area.  This will be working for a well established  General Contractor  that handles ground up and fit out work for commercial buildings. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent working on retail, educational, multi-family and similar projects. This is a permanent position with projects in a commutable distance requiring no overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and delegates tasks with other project team members including the Area Superintendents, and Forman.
• Work with the Safety Manager to create a safe work site.
• Coordinate everyday task involved in the construction process.
• Schedule crews and subcontractors.
• Arrange for material and equipment to be on site as needed.
• Work with the foremen to coordinate the daily production plan.
• Oversee quality control.
• Daily reporting of all work completed.
• Provide technical expertise and coaching to resolve and production issues and verifying the execution of corrective actions.
• Work to keep the project on schedule, meet the specifications, keep the project safe, and meet the expectations of the Project Manager
• Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects larger than $3 Million.
• A mix of ground up and fit out experience.
• Solid Communication both verbal and written.
• Ability to motivate people to be productive and efficient every day.
• Ability to multi-task.
• A self-motivated individual that excels in problem solving.
• Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and superintendent success a must.

• Anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually. As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
