We serve thoughtfully prepared coffee and nourishing, simple Japanese meals, and we also offer a curated selection of Japanese tableware and lifestyle goods in our retail space.

Position: Café / Floor Manager
We are seeking a Café Manager who can lead daily operations while being actively present on the café floor.
This role is ideal for someone with strong café and coffee experience who understands barista work, values guest experience, and is ready to take on floor management responsibilities.
You will play a key role in supporting both staff and guests, while helping maintain a smooth and welcoming café environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily café and floor operations

• Maintain coffee quality and service standards during all shifts

• Actively manage the floor and guest flow, especially during busy service periods

• Lead, support, and motivate baristas and floor staff

• Communicate effectively with staff and guests in both English and Japanese when needed

• Create and manage staff schedules, shift coverage, and daily task assignments

• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing performance support

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual standards throughout the café and retail space

• Foster a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant environment

• Strong barista and espresso machine experience preferred

• Experience in floor management or a leadership role is a plus

• Ability to communicate in both English and Japanese is preferred

• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and guest experience

• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced café environment

• Interest in Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Compensation:
$60,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience
