Summary of the Position

To provide exceptional and consistent customer service in housekeeping by working in the housekeeping and laundry department. Supervises Directly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.Cleans rooms (cleans bathrooms, makes beds, throws away garbage, dusts, vacuums, sweeps, disinfects, relocates items to the lost-and-found) and operates laundry equipment according to the EconoLodge standards. 2.Carries out the deep cleaning program as defined by the Assistant Manager. 3.Conserves energy and reduces the propertys utility expenses by closing curtains, turning out lights, and turning off the HVAC units. 4.Is available as an on-call housekeeper in case someone calls-off, as per the housekeeping schedule. 5.Maintains a security function and protects both the assets of the hotel and the personal safety of employees and guests. 6.Cleans hallways, employee bathroom, and lobby on a scheduled basis. 7.Resolves customer complaints tactfully and courteously. 8.Identifies sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel by interacting with guests. 9.Configures and restocks housekeeping carts. 10.Fills out maintenance slips for items that need attention. 11.Equips guest rooms with guest supplies (bar soap, pencils, menus, phone books, towels, etc.) according to standard set-ups. 12.Reports lost-and-found items to Head Housekeeper. 13.Returns hotel items to the front desk after use (ironing boards, irons, hairdryers, refrigerators, VCR tapes, VCRs, etc.)

-Ability to follow company procedures. -Ability to be consistent. -Skills and Abilities 1.Make business decisions based on your own experience and personal opinion. 2.Deal with general public, customers, union and government officials with tact and courtesy. 3.Change activity frequently and cope with interruptions. 4.Accept full responsibility for completing an activity.

Physical Demands

-Work involves carrying, standing, walking, crouching, vacuuming, climbing stairs, pushing carts, using a broom, working in contact with cleaning fluids, and working in cramped spaces.
