We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Patient Transporters - Escorts to ensure safe and comfortable transportation of patients within healthcare settings. This critical role supports the delivery of quality care by assisting patients throughout their appointments and procedures.

As a Patient Transporter - Escort, you will be responsible for assisting patients with mobility and ensuring they reach their destinations safely, including but not limited to diagnostic areas, treatment rooms, and discharge points. Your attention to patient comfort, safety, and timely transport enhances the overall patient experience.

Hourly Rate: $20 to $22

Pay Period: Sunday to Saturday

Pay Schedule: Weekly, Every Friday via Direct Deposit

Shift Availability: Flexible shifts to meet facility needs

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between rooms, departments, and other locations within healthcare facilities.
• Assist patients with mobility challenges into wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds as needed.
• Provide courtesy and support, ensuring patients feel comfortable and reassured during transport.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff regarding patient needs and transport status.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment, such as wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Document patient transport activities and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in patient transport or a healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to assist patients safely, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and accommodate facility schedules.
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
