Event Line Cook
The Event Line Cook is a versatile and driven culinary professional who supports both the events team and the a la carte kitchen. This hybrid role is responsible for preparing, executing, and plating high-quality dishes for events and regular service, ensuring consistency, organization, and adherence to culinary standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong technical skills, and maintains a team-first mindset. Key Responsibilities
Event & Production Support:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of all event-related food production
- Ensure all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards during events
- Support high-volume service with efficiency, accuracy, and urgency
- Maintain proper handling, labeling, and storage of all food products
A La Carte Line Execution:
- Execute all menu items and mise-en-place with precision and consistency during service
- Maintain organized and efficient workstations throughout service
- Collaborate with BOH team to ensure smooth and timely kitchen operations
General Kitchen Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of food handling, processing techniques, and cooking methods
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization across all prep and service areas, including walk-ins and storage spaces
- Ensure all mise-en-place is properly labeled, stored, and kept up to date
- Communicate proactively with BOH management regarding product quality, inventory levels, and operational needs
- Assist with Family Meal preparation as needed
- Perform station breakdown and deep cleaning with professionalism and attention to detail
- Keep employee areas, including changing rooms and lockers, clean and organized
- Embrace feedback from chefs and colleagues and continuously seek improvement
- Approach all tasks with a sense of urgency, accountability, and pride
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or Event Cook in a high-volume kitchen preferred
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and peak event periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
