Client: Media/Technology company Title: Senior Accountant Permanent Hybrid 3 days a week onsite Comp: $115,000-$120,000 bonus Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in a public accounting environment (preferably Big 4), and a proven ability to manage complex accounting processes in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, preparing financial analyses, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. Analyze financial results and investigate variances. Support external audits and coordinate requests from auditors. Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation as needed. Assist with implementation and maintenance of internal controls. Support financial statement preparation and reporting requirements. Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and accounting implications. Assist with special projects, including acquisitions, integrations, and system implementations, as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA license or CPA eligible with all four CPA exams successfully passed . 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience. Public accounting experience required; Big 4 experience strongly preferred . Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Experience working with external audits and internal controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
