Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide training and support to Self-Hired direct support professionals (DSPs).
Pay Range : $22.00/hr-$26.00/hr

Essential Functions:
-
Train, retrain and mentor all DSPs through phone, in person, and video-based methods. Provide guidance and address any performance or disciplinary issues.

Track and monitor annual training completion for all DSPs, ensuring adherence to OPWDD and EPI training requirements.

Reviews and approves DSPs payroll entries daily. Track payroll submissions, identify potential issues, and communicate promptly to resolve discrepancies.

Ensure the timely completion and submission of billing in accordance with Medicaid and agency regulations.

Collaborate with Coordinators, Program Managers, and Supervisors to ensure consistency and accuracy of documentation.

Assist DSPs in reviewing and completing monthly summaries to ensure accuracy and compliance in accordance with OPWDD and agency regulations.

Consult with the Human Resources and Finance Departments, as needed regarding employee, payroll, or other staffing related issues.
Non-Essential Functions:

Participate on various EPI committees as able.

Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning all business-related matters, including but not limited to board/vendors/donors' names, investigations, finance, operations, and employee relations matters.

Must be willing to complete specific company required training as mandated by our governing agency, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), at time of hire and annually thereafter.

Education and Experience:
-
Minimum High School Diploma with two (2) years of Human Service or customer experience, bachelor's degree preferred with one (1) year of Human Service experience.
Computer Skills:
-
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Qualifications:

Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License-a vehicle is required for business travel.

Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and a diverse employee population of various levels within the organization.

Demonstrated ability to use poise, tact, maturity and diplomacy, during difficult and/or stressful situations to effectively collaborate and resolve issues.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and customer requests, while meeting deadlines.
