Join a highly-skilled technical team of Laboratory Technologists in our Hematology area of the Central Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Take on this important role, responsible for performing all patient tests, reading slides, performing quality control procedures as well as standard preventative maintenance. Here you'll have an opportunity to work with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results.

In this Senior position, you will function as a working Technologist who also assumes some responsibilities for the supervision and coordination of the activities of laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests, under the supervision of the Lead Technologist and Laboratory Supervisor. Relieves Lead Technologist during temporary absences. Great advancement opportunity for a Technologist!

This position is a full-time night shift role, 12:00am-8:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Location is our Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum)

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department.

• 2 years of previous experience.

NEW HIRES PENDING A CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST LICENSE:

• Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire
