Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician III - Healthcare Technology Specialist

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus | $27.36 - $33.86/hour | Comprehensive Benefits | Finger Lakes Region

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility in Elmira, NY seeks an experienced Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our Clinical Engineering team. In this vital role, you'll provide advanced technical expertise in managing and maintaining critical medical equipment while leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead complex medical device maintenance, repair, and calibration projects
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on sophisticated medical equipment systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections on critical care devices
• Collaborate with vendors and clinical staff on equipment installations
• Provide technical guidance to junior BMETs and clinical staff
• Develop and maintain comprehensive equipment documentation
• Deliver equipment training to healthcare personnel
• Participate in equipment evaluation and procurement processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years experience, OR
• Associate's degree in Biomedical/Electronic Technology with 4+ years experience
• Proven expertise in medical equipment repair and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of medical technology systems and healthcare regulations
• ICC certification preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
