About the Job

Blackbird is looking for a hungry recent grad to join our engineering team as a Fullstack Engineer. You'll rotate across our stack, picking up context in payments, loyalty, restaurant operations, and the real-time systems that power them. This isn't a narrow role; you'll go broad before you go deep, and you'll be expected to move fast, use AI tools natively, and take real ownership from day one.

Responsibilities

• Ship features across our payments, loyalty, and restaurant operations

• Pick up context quickly across frontend, backend, and API layers; no one here owns just one slice

• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a core part of how you work, not as a crutch but as a force multiplier

• Debug issues that span multiple systems and own them through to resolution

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent; strong internship or project portfolio

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript

• You've shipped something real and can talk about what broke and how you fixed it

• High ownership instincts; you'd rather solve a problem than wait for someone to hand you the answer

• Active user of AI coding agents with a point of view on how to use them well

Nice to Haves

• Exposure to blockchain, crypto, or web3

• Personal or side projects that show you build for fun

Pay Transparency Notice & Benefits

Depending on your work location and experience the target annual salary for this position can range from: $120,000-$160,000 USD. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law.

Full time offers from Blackbird may also include stock options, benefits (including medical, dental, vision, flexible time off, 401(k)), and some not-so-standard, extra-fun perks — subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility.
