New Upscale Mediterranean Restaurant Opening Soon — North Williamsburg
A new upscale modern Mediterranean restaurant is opening soon in North Williamsburg, located within the plaza of the iconic The William Vale.
Rooted in warm hospitality, thoughtful service, and high operational standards, the restaurant will offer a refined yet energetic dining experience with a modern kosher approach, a chef-driven menu, elevated cocktails, and a strong neighborhood focus.
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the opening leadership team.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands upscale service, and is passionate about building culture, systems, and guest experience from the ground up.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsAssist in overseeing all daily front-of-house operations
Lead floor service with professionalism, urgency, and hospitality
Support the General Manager in executing opening procedures, systems, and operational standards
Act as MOD (Manager on Duty) during service
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and presentation throughout the restaurant
Ensure smooth communication between FOH and BOH teams
Help create a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture
Maintain an exceptional level of guest hospitality and service recovery
Build relationships with regular guests, hotel guests, and neighborhood clientele
Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
Monitor reservation flow, pacing, seating strategy, and overall dining room experience
Support private dining and special event execution when needed
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of FOH staff
Help manage schedules, staffing levels, and labor efficiency
Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing training initiatives
Enforce company policies and service standards consistently
Coach staff through performance issues and support disciplinary procedures when necessary
Support payroll review, tip management, and daily reporting
Assist in monitoring labor costs, inventory practices, comps, voids, and operational efficiencies
Maintain strong knowledge of POS systems, reservations platforms, and operational software
Help manage vendor coordination and day-to-day operational logistics
Participate in weekly management meetings and opening strategy discussions
3+ years of management experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, or hospitality-driven concepts
Strong floor presence and leadership skills
Experience with high-volume service and elevated hospitality standards
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
Experience with Toast, Resy, 7shifts, or similar hospitality systems preferred
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
NYC hospitality experience strongly preferred
