Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our client to support a high-performing litigation team by ensuring seamless administrative operations and case coordination. This direct hire opportunity is based in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of three days onsite each week. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing legal documentation, coordinating case activity, and facilitating communication between attorneys, clients, and internal teams. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex legal matters while maintaining efficient workflows and meeting key deadlines.
Compensation:
$78,000 – $94,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to litigation attorneys, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and prioritization of competing demands
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence in alignment with firm standards and court requirements
- Maintain organized case files and document management systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and proper recordkeeping across digital and physical platforms
- Track litigation timelines and critical deadlines, helping ensure filings, court dates, and deliverables are completed on schedule
- Assist with trial and deposition preparation by coordinating logistics, assembling case materials, and supporting attorneys leading up to proceedings
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials to support client interactions
Qualifications and Skills for the Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; comparable professional experience within a legal environment will also be considered
- At least five years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm or legal department, with a focus on litigation
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal document management systems; familiarity with iManage is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and shifting demands in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated attention to detail, particularly in document preparation, formatting, and proofreadin
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, client-focused approach
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel as needed to support litigation activities
