Heatherwood is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our Sales and Service team. This role plays a vital part in welcoming prospective residents, building lasting relationships, and ensuring an exceptional leasing and living experience within our communities. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and sales-driven, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to present lease terms and rent increases effectively.
Requirements:Responsibilities Will Include:
- Warmly greet prospective residents and conduct engaging property tours.
- Highlight community features, apartment benefits, and neighborhood amenities.
- Guide prospects through the leasing process, including applications, background, and credit checks.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage move-in logistics, including scheduling, creating move-in packets, and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Respond to inquiries from residents and property management via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Support resident satisfaction through timely and professional communication.
- Assist with lease renewals and confidently explain rent adjustments.
- Conduct market research and competitive shopping as needed.
- Plan and support resident engagement activities and events.
- Travel to multiple community locations as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
We’re seeking someone who is approachable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about helping residents find their next home.
- 1+ years of customer service or sales experience required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel between sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leasing or property management experience.
- Experience with lease renewals and competitive shopping.
- Bilingual proficiency.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
