Cleaner
SKJ Facilities Management has been a leading provider of cleaning services in the Southern Tier for 30 years; offering permanent employment opportunities in a supportive and safe environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated Cleaner in Corning . As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of various facility areas, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.
Corning:
- Permanent evening position: Monday - Friday (25-30 hours per week), scheduled after 5PM.
- Worksite(s) is in the Riverside/Corning area. Additional hours may be available if willing to commute to nearby areas (Painted Post/Horseheads).
Responsibilities
- You would work independently on your assigned tasks.
- Maintain and clean assigned facility areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and stairwells.
- Perform tasks such as vacuuming, autoscrubbing, sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, polishing fixtures, sanitizing surfaces, and stocking and cleaning dispensers.
- Work a consistent, regular schedule to support the company's customers by creating clean environments.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
- Desire to perform detailed cleaning duties. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Training is provided.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist, climb stairs, and reach high and low during shifts.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures, including wearing necessary PPE provided by SKJ.
- Ability to read and write in English to read work-related information and complete checklists.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
