As a Senior Category Manager, you are accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the global research and pre-clinical service category strategy. The role targets Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) that support small batch non-GMP manufacturing services, purification services, chemistry services & viral clearance. Periodically, you may be asked to support pre-clinical services related to PK/PD and toxicology, bioanalytical services, and research model services.

A Typical Day May Include The Following

• Collaborate with partners in Discovery Research through pre-Clinical Development
• Lead negotiations and complex contracts/contracting, supplier management activities, and partner engagement
• Drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities
• Participate in organizational decisions with critical short- and long-term impact on success, efficiency, growth, and results
• Demonstrate knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes to support the growth and evolution of Global Procurement
• Manage category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements
• Use data to drive decision-making for successful category projects
• Coach proficiency on procurement technical skills among the global procurement team

To be considered you are to have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry. Your experience will need to include successfully managing category processes, including strategy development and execution. Experience successfully establishing and driving Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs and governance models. Working with cross-functional teams in research and pre-clinical service categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations and contracting.

Additional Requirements Include

• Experience with external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement
• Supporting global supply market evaluation processes using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools
• Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems preferred (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)

Salary Range (annually) $132,400.00 - $216,000.00
