Legal Secretary/Paralegal - Litigation
Job Summary
Small Long Island law firm is looking for experienced legal secretary/paralegal to work with attorneys handling commercial litigation, corporate, real estate & landlord/tenant matters. Applicant should be organized, reliable and detail oriented with knowledge of the court and NYSCEF filing systems. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case investigation, document review, and trial preparation
- Manage legal case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw
- Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw to support case strategies
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and discovery requests with precision
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files through filing and data entry practices
- Paralegal or legal administrative experience in a law office setting with exposure to litigation processes
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
