POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Association Activities Assistant position is with Suffolk Community College Association, Inc. and will be responsible for handling administrative and program duties for the Campus Activities Office. The position reports to the Director of Campus Activities and Student Leadership Development and has the following responsibilities:

  • Train, supervise and schedule the student Peer Mentor Team to work around campus throughout the year.

  • Staffing of Peer Mentors, when needed, for events on campus - IE: Club Fair, Open House, campus tours, welcome activities, and holiday events.

  • Support office and common hour events, including set up and breakdown of events during academic year, as well as New Student Orientation in summer.

  • Make and approve room reservations via 25LIVE. - Office Work and maintaining records in campus activities when needed.

  • Support workshops (in person and virtual) musical and presentation set ups. - Work closely with the Principal Office Assistant in the Office of Campus Activities for payroll and other office related matters.

  • Assist with the supporting details needed for the end of the year Student Recognition Banquet celebration.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Activities and Student Leadership Development and/or the Association Dean of Student Affairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree

  • One to three years of office experience

HIRING SALARY:

Hourly Rate: $23.70 - $24.23 /hour
