Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company , is partnering with a dynamic global financial services corporation to recruit a M&A Attorney. This is a full-time, hybrid contract opportunity.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6-9 months
• Hours: 40/week
• Location: Hybrid - NYC
• Compensation: $125/hr

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and transactional support across a broad range of M&A transactions.
• Build relationships with deal teams, participate in fairness committee meetings and develop an understanding of investment banking processes and procedures related to M&A transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate M&A engagement letters, board books, proxy disclosure and other transaction-related documentation (in certain cases, with the assistance of external counsel).
• Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments affecting financial advisors and advise business partners accordingly.
• Provide substantive legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters, including SEC, FINRA, and global securities laws and regulations.
• Participate in industry efforts addressing emerging issues.
• Participate in internal training and policy development initiatives related to M&A legal issues.
• License to practice law in any US jurisdiction, active and in good standing, is required
