Component engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team at Qualitrol. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Leader.

Process Engineering : Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure exceptional product quality.

Component Engineering : Drive the creation of a robust and cost-effective supply chain in tandem with product development. Focus on dual sourcing strategies and ensure component selection supports manufacturability and meets all critical-to-quality (CTQ) specifications throughout the product lifecycle.

Cost Management: Achieve product launch cost targets by negotiating with suppliers and implementing strategic procurement practices.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all components meet applicable regulatory standards and secure initial compliance certifications from suppliers.

Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to guarantee consistent, high-quality component supply.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safety and regulatory compliance across all operations.
Your Impact & Key Responsibilities: In this role, the individual will leverage their expertise in process engineering, procurement engineering, and supply chain management to optimize manufacturing operations, ensure efficient and cost-effective component sourcing, and maintain full compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration).

Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.

Strong understanding of supply chain processes, cost management, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with dual sourcing and cost competitiveness strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a relevant field.

Experience in transitioning product designs from development to mass production.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 65,100.00 - 120,900.00
