Ruby on Rails Engineer
You’ll be working as part of a cross-functional consultancy team, contributing to client-facing fintech projects. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with real ownership over features and technical decisions.
Must-have experience:
- 3+ years building complex, production applications
- Strong Ruby on Rails experience
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of Git, code reviews, and documentation
- Experience collaborating with PMs, designers, and other engineers
- Consulting / agency experience or comfort working across different client projects
Nice to have:
- Experience with microservices
- Containerization & scaling (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
- Exposure to 12-factor apps
- Some experience with Python or frontend MVC frameworks
- Mentorship or tech leadership exposure
- FinTech or data-sensitive domains
- Open-source contributions or public technical work
Tech stack (expanded)
- Backend: Ruby, Ruby on Rails
- APIs: RESTful services, microservices-style architecture
- Infrastructure: Containers (Docker), orchestration experience is a plus
- Dev practices: Git, code reviews, documentation, 12-factor apps
- Cross-stack exposure: Python and/or frontend MVC frameworks (nice to have)
