Senior Associate, Provider Success (ACO)

Stellar Health
New York, NY

About Stellar Health:

Historically, US Healthcare has relied on a fee-for-service reimbursement system where providers are paid based on the quantity of patient visits and procedures, rather than the quality of health outcomes.

At Stellar Health, we help primary care providers put patient health first. Our platform - a mix of technology, people, and analytics - supports providers at the point of care, delivering real-time patient information, activating practice staff, and empowering providers and care teams with incentives that reward the work they are already doing to keep patients healthy. Using the Stellar App, our web-based, point-of-care tool; practices receive a simple checklist of recommended actions that support the best quality care. Providers and care teams are then paid monthly for each action they complete, and Payors save money in reduced healthcare costs along the way.

Stellar is a US-based Health-tech backed by Top VCs (General Atlantic, Point72, & Primary Venture Partners) with an established product & proven operating model. We’ve shown that we make a real difference for physician practices and their patients.

About shaco (Stellar Health ACO)

shaco is a new, rapidly evolving business line within Stellar Health. We are leveraging Stellar’s proven technology and operating model to flip the script on the traditional ACO market. While traditional ACOs force providers to wait 12–18 months for complex shared savings calculations, shaco rewards clinical excellence with immediate, transparent monthly payments.

The Position: A Startup Within a Scale-Up

We are looking for a Senior Associate of ACO Provider Success to join our ACO team. You will be working in a "startup within a scale-up" environment. This means leveraging Stellar’s established best practices and resources, but adapting them to fit the specific, high-stakes needs of our at-risk business.

You will act as a strategic partner to medical groups, using data to influence behavior and drive performance. You must be comfortable operating in the gray, managing multiple workstreams, and helping us refine our operational playbooks as we scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Portfolio Performance: You will manage the end-to-end relationship for a portfolio of Medical Groups. You aren't just driving "app usage"; you are accountable for driving engagement that leads to tangible value-based care outcomes (Quality, Coding, and Total Cost of Care).

  • Data-Driven Storytelling: You will take complex performance data and synthesize it into clear, persuasive narratives. You will build the "case for change" for providers and practice staff, showing them exactly how their workflows impact their financial and clinical performance.

  • Operational Execution & Refinement: You will execute day-to-day operations with precision, but you will also look for ways to do it better. You will help develop and refine internal best practices for practice performance management, ensuring we can scale efficiently.

  • Change Management: You will work directly with practice staff and leadership to integrate the Stellar platform into their daily clinical workflows. You will need to be persistent and strategic to drive adoption in busy medical practices.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will act as the voice of the provider, translating an in-depth understanding of practice needs into critical insights for our Product, Med Econ, and Operations teams.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: 3+ years in healthcare operations/strategy, healthtech, or healthcare consulting. Experience with Value-Based Care or ACOs is a plus.

  • Analytical Rigor: You have advanced Excel skills and are comfortable navigating BI tools (Tableau/Looker). You don’t just read charts; you understand what the numbers mean for the business and can explain them to non-technical audiences.

  • Influence & Presence: You have a proven ability to influence stakeholders—from front-office staff to medical directors—to drive behavior change.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic environments. You view operational barriers not as road blocks, but as problems to be solved. You possess a "find a way" attitude.

  • A "Builder" Mindset: You are excited by the prospect of working in a newer business line where processes are still being optimized. You are willing to provide feedback and ideas to help the team grow.

Who Will Love This Job:

  • The Scrappy Problem Solver: You don’t wait for permission to fix things. You get things done and you love working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

  • The Data Storyteller: You love digging into the numbers to find the "why" and enjoy helping others understand it too.

  • The Team Player: You understand that in a high-growth environment, collaboration and accountability are key. You support your teammates and share your learnings.

  • The Ambitious Learner: You want to be at the forefront of Value-Based Care and are looking for a role that will challenge you to grow your skills in operations, strategy, and client management.

Pay:

The starting salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 + an annual performance-based bonus. Where a new hire falls within this range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Stellar's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Stellar rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.
