Data Engineering Manager Location: Remote (NY/NJ residents only) Direct Hire Overview Seeking a hands-on engineering leader to guide a small data engineering team while driving modernization of a cloud-based data platform. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and perform code reviews for a team of engineers. Design and optimize cloud-based data warehouse solutions and ETL/ELT pipelines. Improve platform performance, scalability, and data reliability. Partner with development teams to support enterprise data initiatives. Establish best practices for architecture, testing, monitoring, and data quality. Evaluate and implement modern data engineering technologies. Qualifications 5-6 years of data engineering or backend engineering experience. Prior leadership or team management experience. Strong SQL and Python skills. Experience with cloud data warehouses (AWS Redshift preferred). Hands-on experience building data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar). Experience modernizing legacy data environments is a plus. Additional Information Remote position with occasional travel to the New York City area.
