Position Description

JCC anticipates potential part-time openings for Health Science instructors for upcoming semesters (fall, spring, summer) on the Cattaraugus Campus(es). Class times and course coverage needs will vary from semester to semester.

Qualifications

Required : Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Biology/Chemistry or a closely related discipline

Preferred : Master’s degree (or higher) in Biology/Chemistry or a closely related discipline. Additional degrees in a related field may be considered when a candidate possesses relevant teaching experience. Preference given to those with college level or AP high-school level teaching *Faculty adjuncts may be asked to complete course audits, professional development opportunities, or additional classroom observations in their first 2 years of teaching if hired without the preferred qualifications.

Additional Information

Adjunct salary range of $917 - $1,246 per credit hour, with assigned placement commensurate with education and experience.

Final candidates are subject to a pre-employment criminal background investigation.
