The Difference You Make The Director is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial real estate clients to achieve prescribed plan and deliver a best in class, consistent service to the clients.- Originate, to distribute, commercial real estate loans, with an initial focus on multifamily.
- Determine appropriate risk and when possible minimize risk to the bank.
- Communicates with internal and external parties to ensure all appropriate information has been received from borrowers to best evaluate loan requests and ability to repay as stated.
- Provide professional, quality customer service to customers, contractors, staff and other community contacts.
- Monitor key risk indicators within the portfolio of clients including, past dues, changes to the clients risk profile, or service issues, and informs the Relationship Management Team.
- Participate in professional organizations to gain visibility and enhance the Santander brand.
- Develop and expand a network of referral sources/centers of influence
- Conduct market research and financial analysis for rating committees, investor meetings and conferences.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or equivalent field - Required.
- 7+ years as a CRE originator - Required.
- Existing book of business - Preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates ability to influence others and champion new ideas to improve processes and client experience.
- Excellent relationship building skills at all levels in an organization.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, common sense decision\-making.
- No Certifications listed for this job.
- Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products.
