Tiffany & Co. Inventory Control - Operations Lead
- Oversee daily production transactions of stones, ensuring timely processing of backlogs within established service level agreements. Distribute receipts & purchasing transactions amongst staff and provide priority guidance within daily production operations.
- Coordinate with the Grading Lab, Unique and Core buying teams to process priority memos within agreed upon SLA's.
- Manage logistic operations to ensure that incoming shipments are processed within compliance requirements. Maintain process effectiveness for outgoing shipments, partnering with couriers to remove barriers and implement new processes required to meet changing business demand.
- Support staff to troubleshoot transaction errors, coordinate with necessary business partners to resolve such timely.
- Perform demand vs. resource comparison on weekly/ monthly basis and communicate any challenges to management regularly.
- Run reports to evaluate production progress towards goals and communicate progress to both internal and external partners. Communicate constraints both to management and business partners as required.
- Partner with Industrial Analyst to support the creation of reporting tool to aid daily operation
- Lead colored stones and pearls supply training initiatives for new and existing employees. Ensure SOP documentation is accurately updated and distributed to reflect ongoing process enhancements.
- Partner with Sr. Analyst to schedule and execute daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycle counts confirming accuracy according to location on hand totals.
- Support variance research and report any discrepancies to management immediately.
- Partner with Management build a culture of continuous improvement
- Work safely always by consistently following safe work procedures for your role, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Demonstrate leadership by leading safety process checks & improvement projects in coordination with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley reporting, audit driven Initiatives, key safety accountabilities and the Business Conduct policy.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4-5 years' experience in Operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with management
- Comfortable speaking in front of both management & peers
- Ability to problem solve, identify opportunities for improvement and escalate challenges when needed
- Must be creative, analytical and demonstrate problem solving skills
- Excellent computer skills and advanced experience using MS Office
- Six Sigma/ Lean Green belt certification (or willing to obtain within first year). Experience working in an environment that practices Six Sigma/Lean concepts
- Experience with JDE Software
- Knowledge of Tiffany business practices
- Prior experience in or leading a team of individuals working towards a common goal
