Under the direction of the Director of Guest Services & Engagement, the Part-Time Guest Services Associate provides quality guest experience to children and their caregivers through welcoming and directing guests, enforcing policies, accurately responding to questions, selling admission tickets and memberships, as well as providing information on programs, events, and general information.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate the Museums front desk and Gift Shop always providing a best-in-class experience for all guests. Process admissions, memberships and sales, always exceeding expectations of each guest experience. Stock and sell merchandise in the Gift Shop; work to maintain a clean surrounding space prioritizing guest comfort and safety. Other duties as assigned; strong ability to work as part of the team. Best in class, all handson deck support of all Explore & More associates and roles on a regular basis.QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required, bachelors degree preferred Minimum two (2) years demonstrated experience in Customer Service Minimum two (2) years experience working with children Ability to work with individuals from a wide variety of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds Outgoing, collegial, ability to develop and maintain cordial professional relationships Excellent communication skills, basic to intermediate Computer skillsPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time Ability to work and concentrate in a loud and busy environment Must be comfortable working with changes in temperature Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis Will be required to take a criminal background check and drug screenHourly $16.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience
