Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

As a Staff Engineer, Workplace Systems , you will be a key technical leader, driving contributions across the entire Workplace Operations and Engineering organization. In this highly visible role, you'll report directly to the Vice President of the team, working at the forefront of delivering high-quality experiences for all of Versant's employees and visitors entering our spaces. You'll work across multiple teams—including Campus Services, End-user Computing, Facilities Engineering, and Communications and Collaboration Services—to design, build, and implement solutions that impact every single person at our company, no matter where they are in the world.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience implementing Enterprise Systems on a global scale.
• Strong background in API-first development, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud).
• Expertise or certifications in scalable deployment tooling (Jamf, Intune, SCCM).
• Strong experience with SaaS tool implementations, from ideation to enterprise-ready deployment.
• Deep knowledge of Apple MAM/MDM implementations at an enterprise level, managing 5,000+ devices.
• Expertise in scalable distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional and cross-border contexts.
• Proven track record of building diverse, inclusive teams and fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Experience partnering with cybersecurity, data governance, legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant product delivery.

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
