If you are interested in a strategy that has growth, transformation, and ongoing innovation where you can help “reinvent the broadcasting wheel” Paramount Tech has a role for you… Primary Responsibilities: Technical & Vendor Oversight- Provide technical oversight of both studio and remote productions and events.
- Acquire and negotiate with third-party vendors for production trucks, facilities, and technical services.
- Manage rental equipment needs across broadcast, performance, and specialty gear, and ensure pay roll and billing are accurate.
- Evaluate power requirements, vendor quotes, and technical resources for stages, production offices, lighting, audio, and control rooms.
- Supervise technical crews to ensure productions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with Production teams to translate creative concepts into technical execution.
- Attend preproduction scouts and coordinate technical requirements for linear production, digital production, corporate events, and musical performances in in-house facilities and remote locations.
- Partner with Production on budgeting, scheduling, and cross-department resource alignment for complex studio and remote events.
- Provide on-site technical leadership during productions to oversee execution and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement new technologies and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and align with evolving industry standards.
- Develop technical specifications, documentation, and postmortem reports to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement.
- Introduce scalable processes that improve communication and accountability across technical, production, and vendor teams.
- 5+ years’ experience working in a live studio control room environment.
- 5+ years’ experience and knowledge of remote production facilities and trucks.
- Knowledge of technical facilities and transmission.
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 and database entry systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be flexible and available to work nights and/or weekends and travel.
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills, able to resolve multiple issues in real time.
