Position Overview
The Clerical Assistant supports daily operations in a healthcare setting by providing administrative and clerical services. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and clinical staff throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, reception, and scheduling meetings
Type and prepare correspondence and documents
Index records and maintain organized files
Operate office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and photocopiers
Maintain accurate data entry with a typing speed of 50 keystrokes per minute
Serve as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
Ability to interact with patients throughout the workday
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
