About the position:
We are seeking an accomplished Vice President senior sales specialist to join ING’s Loan Distribution Group (LDG) in New York. This role is pivotal in driving the sales process for syndicated loan transactions, managing investor relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of deal-related activities across the Americas.

About the department:
LDG is an integrated team responsible for the origination, pricing, structuring, and distribution of all syndicated loans originated by ING in the Americas. The team covers a broad range of sectors, including Project Finance (TMT, Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation & Logistics), Leveraged/Acquisition Finance, Food & Agriculture, Trade & Commodity Finance, Real Estate, and Financial Institutions. LDG is part of the Capital Markets & Advisory (CMA) division and operates globally with approximately 100 full-time employees.
Responsibilities :
Role Purpose
- Lead sales efforts for syndicated loan transactions in Project Finance and Telcom. This will include the pricing, distribution strategy, and closing mechanics of the transactions.
- Manage and expand relationships with bank and institutional investors (CLOs, insurance companies, hedge funds, etc.).
- Collaborate with colleagues across Loan Syndicate, CMA, Sectors, Agency and Operations to deliver best-in-class service.
- Engage actively with clients, sector teams, financial institutions, and legal counsels.
Key Responsibilities
Deal-Related Activities
- Lead and execute sales for syndicated loan transactions.
- Develop pricing and sell-down strategies in partnership with Loan Syndicate.
- Assist in coordinating closing logistics.
- Conduct market soundings and maintain confidentiality.
- Identify and invite investors, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and support the preparation of Confidential Information Memoranda, offering/invite letters, and term sheets.
- Field and address investor Q&A.
- Ensure the timely distribution of closing documents and completion of due diligence.
- Maintain and update syndication status reports.
- Organize and support ING led lender meetings.
- Compile and report expenses, provide post-syndication memos, and complete revenue reports.
General Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with LDG Syndicate teams and other internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain investor relationships, focusing on ING’s covered Sectors.
- Support the loan trader in making two side markets by sharing investor appetite in the secondary to buy or sell select loans.
- Stay informed about industry trends and sector developments.
- Conduct regular sales calls and solicit reciprocal business.
- Provide market feedback in team meetings and to internal stakeholders.
- Secure Customer Due Diligence approval for new counterparties.
- Log sales calls and meeting notes in Debt domain.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to team objectives.
Qualifications and Competencies
- 7 + years of experience in loan syndications, lending, or related sectors, with strong investor relationships.
- Experience in selling Project Finance, TMT (particularly Digital Infrastructure) bank loans.
- Experience with institutional loan sales (e.g. Term Loan Bs) is a strong plus.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with investor due diligence, compliance, and legal documentation.
- Proficiency in managing data and reports (Debtdomain or similar systems).
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel as required.
- Required all relevant FINRA SIE, Series 79, Series 63.
- A base of knowledge of ING’s products and industry Sectors.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Salary Range $230,000-$270,000
