Emmy Squared Park Slope is hiring Prep Cooks to join our team! We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing high-quality ingredients and takes pride in maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness. Daytime availability is required!

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.
- Properly store food, labeling and dating items as needed.
- Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
- Minimize loss and waste through appropriate use of supplies and equipment.
- Report necessary equipment repairs and maintenance to management.
- Keep work areas neat and clean; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
- Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant.
- Passion for food—pizza knowledge is a plus!
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Must have daytime availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to use culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and identify flavors through tasting/smelling.
