About The Role

Dow Jones, a world-leading media company, is currently seeking a Vice President to lead its Financial Planning and Analysis Consolidation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate consolidation of financial results across the company. This executive will lead a team in driving the close process and support strategic decision-making with high-quality reporting. The role also partners with operating FP&A leaders, accounting, tax, and systems leads to ensure integrity and transparency in financial reporting.

You Will

• Lead the consolidation and creation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly results and forecasts into management level presentations.
• Ensure accurate and timely submissions to our parent company (News Corp)
• Develop corporate reporting and identify systems and data improvements.
• Summarize the revenue and cost drivers and trends for senior management.
• Develop and maintain the FP&A group’s deadlines in order to deliver key consolidated reporting needs within the finance group and to our parent company.
• Lead project work to support strategic decisions within the business.
• Collaborate with other finance functions to oversee SOX compliance and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
  
  

You Have

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, CPA or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Relevant Commercial Finance experience 12 years+ with at least 5 years in a leadership role in financial consolidations.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and reporting.
• Planning and organizational skills including effective time management and impeccable attention to detail.
• High degree of proficiency in PC/computer skills including experience with various financial applications and reporting tools and with Excel and Word. SAP, TM1 and OneStream financial systems experience preferred.
• Demonstrates initiative and has exceptional communication skills
• Results orientated and process driven.
