Assistant Cheese Manager

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is looking for an experienced Assistant Cheese Manager to join our Cheese Departments' busy operations! Bring your passion for cheese, hands-on experience, and love of customer service to help create an exceptional shopping experience.

This full-time Assistant Manager position offers a consistent 48-hour work week, including 8 hours paid at overtime rates each week—giving you the opportunity to earn more with a predictable schedule. Your Role:

1. Support a positive customer experience, providing knowledgeable guidance on cheeses, pairings, and seasonal items
2. Assist the Cheese Manager with ordering, inventory management, staff schedules, training, and daily operations
3. Pack, label, and merchandise cheese and related products according to company policies
4. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
5. Supervise a team of Cheese Clerks

What We’re Looking For:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cheese Department, with at least 1 year as an Assistant Cheese Manager
3. Strong understanding of cheese varieties, storage, temperatures, inventory, and flavor profiles
4. Excellent customer service skills and a high passion for cheese!
5. Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities
6. Fluent in English
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
